ode to coffee and beer

Without any exaggeration involved, I have been living off of coffee for the last week. On monday the worst possible thing happened. I was setting up my coffee maker to prepare for the long evening ahead, and when I turned to set it down, the pot fell, ans shattered the most heart wrenching sound imaginable - to a coffee addict that it. So needless to say I have been taking advantage of the local wawa and starbucks coffee provided by the school. Both equally as enjoyable and job fitting. Hopefully the stout 12oz will get me through the day...

In philosophy class, we exmained a piece of the philosophy of beer. I detest beer, I prefer the hard? stuff. Regardless my roomate and I decided to have an ode to beer tonight- along with my suitemate. So old school beer night tonight- Beast and Games. I love game & Beast is among the beers I can tolerate. The taste of beer though, just throws me off! Maybe Ive just had shitty beer my whole drinking career of 3 years, or the smell reeks of memories of my alcoholic father. Both rather valid...Needless to say at one point I HATED coffee, the taste but grew to like it 7 pretty much need it to function unless I want to spiral into a sleep filled 2day detox. Can the same fate happen for beer? Maybe not totally, but beer can be good. Ill worry about the calories later.

On a site I just found, you can apparently Brew your own Beer in a coffee maker. WHOOAAA blow my mind amazing!! That experiment will definatly need to take place inthe summer. For now, Im dedicated to school with a little pleasure of alochol here and there.

This morning my weight was 121.8 How.Amazing. That is literally about 25lbs lighter than this time last year. Im pretty proud of myself. Even though I couldnt lug myself to the gym today, all will be forgiven tomorrow.

This made me giggle though- have a good thirsty thurs

can people really revert and go primal? YES THEY CAN

It seems as though, the ignorant citizens of this here US have gone apeshit so to speak. Since President Obama has taken office, certain people have taken the liberty to kiss his ass, and raise hands in praise for a black man has risen.

Hold Up.

Were we not as American citizens pulling away from the color aspect? Were we not striving to dismiss differences, and unite as ONE country? Now all of a sudden the brother and sisters are one with the leader of all who reside here, all of a sudden they are superior. Granted, it's a stride, but have pride in somthing other than superficiality. Have pride in his ideals, and morals, have pride in his amazing speaking and captiviating ability, have pride in what he may be able to do - not his skin color.

Its like 9 inch nails dragging along a chalkboard the Great Wall of China distance.
A) WE do not OWE you anything- as so many have been accustomed to believe
b) Become educated in what he stand for not what he looks like
C) he is a leader. and a symbol for all not a specific few

Each ehtnicity and culture have had their own battles and mountains to overcome - and they have. Blacks are no exception and need to stop acting like they are.

Just a peeve I have.

ps. a majority of whites voted for obama.

look at this stuff isnt it neat?

So, like every other week of winter, we are getting a snowstorm, total amounting to about 8inches when it sweeps to the jerz.

Why do people complain? Sitting across from me are two people I share my suite with here at school and they're just BITCHING. Does it pass time, boost self esteem? This does not criticize times when everything seems to shit on your day, and piss on your parade ... a good lashing is healthy. This circumstance occurs EVERY DAY. Oy. Old women before their time that's really what they are.

I wonder if there is an easy way to clean mini fish bowls. Above me sits Vita, short for Evita, my Betta fish. Pretty little thing, and I just spent like 20 mins cleaning her bowl that is only about the size of a large fist. hmm. I guess ill figure it out as I go along.

the orange peel

Standing on the sidewalk waiting for the bus, my feet shuffle towards the telephone pole to seek some form of blockade from the frigid wind. Pulling my jacket tighter around me to save warmth, I reach into my hippie sack bag for my digital camera. My little plum colored camera powers on and to pass time, i press the shutter here and there - just to see if anything "scene" or spectacular would result. Cars swarm pass, I look up at the misleading sky- sunny, cloudless- and I let my head fall to the ground. scanning the cement, I spot a little scrape of orange. Clearly out of place. I break my statued stance and walk closer to it. And to my surprise there unprecendented, and unplanned is a heart shaped orange peel. First confused, as anyone else would be i leaned in closer. I then snapped a picture or two, because Im sure no one would believe. These things only happen in movies.

I then smiled. How something so simple had brightened my day; despite the waiting weather and whatnot.

I love the simple little things in life.
