The living room.
The left couch.
On the right side.
Tea,SVU,sister assed out hogging the couch.

I love this kinda break. My body and soul is engorged with the serenity-inspired by the one and only Barbara Jones. After a couple mind shattering weeks, things have settled. Test results : 88Behavioral, 85 Maternity, 90 in Transitions, 100 in Religion. Movie Marathon is over, traditional clinicals are over, loan exit counseling done, room selection done, registered for classes, fin aid submitted, up to date on finances.

On the horizon: out door movie, transitions project, Behavioral Test, Hesi exams, Dinner Dance, last clinical and the paperwork with it, religion paper, and just keepin up with the Jones'

Thanks JoseCuervo for last night. You were wild.

Tomorrow Jamie Nikki and Myself are venturing to NYC for the day just to be.
Hopefully it will be nice and adventures will ensue.

physical pain.

I never ever ever ever want to feel like that again.

22 March 2010

i tried to leave this all on your machine.

See that? There, right there. Yeah. That's a glimmer of hope. I snatched it. Hugged it, carressed it, made it mine. It did not disappoint.

Let's look shall we:

1) Mom took the bill for the Kaplan course [for now; if she goes on strike i have to pay her back right away] For now I just have to worry about conjuring the 300 ish for the actualy NCLEX.

2) I was cancelled for four hours from work yesterday. In two years thats never happened but I took what I could

3) I HAVE OFF ON SATURDAY :D ohhhhhhhhh joyous occasion <3 SO happy. /end little kid typing skills. Now I can do Movie Marathon and sleep and study THEN work sunday. Paycheck will be terrible but that's fine. Mini sacrifice in the long run

4) I submitted my FinAid app. done caput. Room selection is soon but I wont bother with that at the moment .

5) Kevin will be home for SC in the summer. Excitement.

Mom still doesnt have her car back. I hope they get it soon. Did I forget to mention? She got into a really bad accident, and didn't tell me because she didn't want me to worry. Why worry when the deadline for strike is next week- and pay day is the day after.

Off to shop for my event. Go now and frolick.

do what's best for you, you first. JamieLee

Is it possible to learn all that I have about people, life, and the next few months in a matter of 2hours? Who cares about possibility because-it happened.

1. I spilled yet another FULL cup of coffee in the Auditorium before class. Great. For the inquiring minds; yes. I did refill it.

2. The NCLEX makes me nauseous. I'm nervous and excited. Old, good feelings like this are resurfacing and the outcome the first time around (aka in HS,) was positive - everything I hoped. I must not let that foreshadow these circumstances..

3. Becareful who you trust, even your friends. You learn a lot about poeple when individual gain and competition are at risk.

4. I am torn between position, possibility, nad individual sanity. If it get the position I have the opportunity to change things. It would be for the good of the whole, but I need to establish the good of me first. That is - surviving this year. Yes the positions are for next year but additional stress is not needed. I'm doing it for me. Yes is feel about about waht I could do, but that's the chance I'm willing to sacrifice. All assuming I get elected hah.

5. Today is getting better, I hope it is for you too.

a balanced human seldom produces art.

There's is a lady bug on the window sill, here in Keiss. So random. I wish I had a camera to take a picture of this because it's almost unreal.

This lady bug must have some magic skill; one of calming because in the moment I glanced at it, a stream of serenity washed over.

The real question is, am I on drugs?

Woke up, feeling mighty fresh. A lot better than yesterday that's for sure. 100% has not been reached, but I hope soon.

My water bottle doesnt have suction release, so when I'm finished drinking an obnoxious sucking noise occurs. Awe-Some.

I am going to need to take some time for myself today, absence from books, and academia, and stress, and deadlines.

Hopefully my schedule allows.

17 March 2010

In a spare moment..

I have 20mins until class and I can thoroughly enjoy my fruit loops in 2 bites, and attempt to keep the tip of my tongue from sloughing off.

Life Rule: People change and that's ok, because that includes me and you.

Life today: I'm running on half steam and a full cup of coffee. Frankly things have been stressful, but that makes the sunshine that much better.

You know what America has come to? 80 calories perserving. That will be a rant for a later date, but I'm not sure whether I want to condemn the children's parents for making them fat and having them write 80 calories per serving on my CEREAL(?!) or if I should thank them .

There are better things on the horizon. There are. I have to believe it. I won't try my cap and gown on- yet.

Oh I'm thinking a therapy writing session in order. Something about breaking out of winter and the spring time drama[in a good way] fires my neurons just right.

I'm irish everyday. Posers. Let's celebrate.

The Greatest Irony of All.

Wouldn't it be the greatest ironic twist to the plot of this world, if every medication was a placebo.

Every side effect, an expected outcome so you believe it true.

Lifewise with therapeutic effects.

From depression to cancer, back to pain and discomfort. What if all we had to do was tap and believe so deeply it would come true.

Whose to say that can't happen. There are placebos, and this does occur, but every medication and drug.

That would be a tragically beautiful irony.

do we really wanna know?

When someone asks "What do you think?" , "What is your opinion?" or any of the variations.. do they really wanna know?

Opinion does not seem relevant to those who have such high and strong notions of their own. Outside thought, is a blow in the breeze, a flake of snow - nothing.

In other rantlings; this week is foinally half over. The to-do list kept growing as another item was being crossed off.

Now im trying to find some kind of way to make a nice schedule for next semester... so far; so kindagood?

livin the dream.

I am living the dream and it took a sorry excuse for a friend to realize that! Life is good. I'm not sure if it's the remnants of good ole' Captain speaking but it's fucking fantastic.

Last night I hung out with the ones who knew me before I knew myself.. and it was an awesome time. Time changes a lot, and people change right along with it; whether we know or accept it is neither here nor there- because it happens. We played games, laughed, danced, and talked about old times. More nights like that are going to happen.

A random tid bit, I got to hang out with Bri last night as well. He picked me up and we just drove listening to OAR, talked ventured and all. One of the best things I've ever heard, came from him, and last night was living proof. We were talking about cameras the other day and looking back on pictures; good ones and ones that should NEVER leave the camera- and he said this (or something like it) I love the nights with no camera...it leaves it up to the imganination and memory to remember what happens. Not verbatum but you get the idea. Well, we didn't take any pictures even though I had my camera. It's funny how things work out. I'm really glad him and I stayed friends.

Currently, I am listening to one of four OAR cd's we were listening to lastnihgt. I took them from Bri's car... hopefully I can give them back eventually. I love this bannndd.

Yesterday I was very productive. Finished FAFSA, homeworked, cleaned. packed, etcetc and my mom took me to get my nails done. First pedicure EVER. It was interesting. Felt nice to be pamperd.

Soon I will be venturing with Mr/ Barrington to go surprise Johnny at the airport. I missed him.

I have my nails done hair done, homework kinda done ; I'm kindasortanotreally ready to go back. I miss my friends something awful, because they make school bearable and I love them :) I'm thankful I've found a group of crazies, to call my friends and mean it.

I'm eating cinnamon applesauce and drinking moutain dew. Don't judge me.

& always one more time.

Night shift is a whole other world. It's not something you can do forever, because your circadian rythmn gets all kinds of fucked up, but for a certain amount of time if I needed to I would.

On nightshift, at a hospital, you are the guardian of your patients as they sleep. You move from room to room peeking and peering the make sure they''re ok. Yeah, this happens during the day as well, but you also are the receiving end of the cracking whip. At night, the whip rests leaving the restless vulnerable. To reiterate, it really does make a difference you who work with :)

Tomorrow night, I reunite with some fabulous people. Gonna be a shloptastic time.

My new interest, culinary arts. I want to continue schooling, maybe get a couple Associates, and eventually in life get a Master's in GOD knows what. Talk talk talk talk that's it; maybe i need to start DOING.

OH HAPPY FEET IS ON.

I love to people watch. Maybe I'll do that tomrrow, go to get coffee and get some material for a story. Does that make me creepy?!

Maybe, but that's ok. I wanna write; but I legit have not had time, and the whole fact fact fact foundation associated with nursing really had put everything else on the backburner.

03 March 2010

with people running circles with a very very mad world

It's already March third and I can feel the month slipping away already. Last night I worked day one of two for nightshift. Wasn't too bad, and it flew by at a nice pace. Hopefully tonight will be the same. I think who you work with really makes a difference..

Made dinner last night for mom and erin-I got creative and it was freaking awesome if I do say so. &I created my own dressing, kudos to myself.

Last night, before work [I'm very chronological today aren't I?] Kelly came over and dyed my hair for me. It's now a chocolate brownish. I like it, I look older, and I miss the cluster of strawberry colors-but it'll fade back gracefully.

Bought my DinnerDance dress already and it's super cuuteee. As of now it is the one, unless I find a better contender; that may only happen if I get 200 extra dollars for the perfect one or I just find another. womp.

Hmm so the rest of break I guess will consist of studying, finishing work, work tonight, out friday, john saturday back to school sunday. Le sigh, I miss that kid.
